Monday Morning Motivation

Recently I was invited to participate in the “uplifting exchange” via email.

You are asked to send an encouraging quote or verse to the person whose name is in the body of the email (even if you don’t know him or her). You are supposed to send a favorite text verse/motivational poem/prayer/meditation that has lifted you when you were experiencing challenging times.

This morning I received this one via email from a stranger, “Start everyday with new hope, leave bad memories behind and have faith for a better tomorrow”

It instantly made me happy. Many people may have looked at the email as another dumb chain letter that ain’t nobody got time for. But one reason I decided to participate is because one of my favorite mindless things to do is scroll Pinterest. One thing that really resonates with me on Pinterest are the quotes that pop up. I think motivational quotes validate what we feel and in turn validate us.

It’s the same reason that songs resonate with so many of us, we feel like someone else went into our heads and in a more eloquent way than we ever could put into words exactly how we feel. Or exactly how we want to feel.

I’ve been compiling a bunch for my blog & today I decided to share them. Maybe you need a little boost this am. Maybe you need a couple words to hang on to to push you through a plateau.

Personally, I feel like I’m at a stand still with my health and fitness goals. It’s great to be at a stand still, it means you’re maintaining. But for me, I feel in my life I always want to be making progress.

With that being said, here are a few of my favorite inspirational quotes to get us through the day!
